CHICAGO – To support firefighters, state Rep. Kam Buckner, D-Chicago, is providing meals to local firehouses in the 26th legislative district during the COVID-19 outbreak. Buckner is delivering lunch to extend his appreciation to first responders for all their
incredible work during the ongoing health crisis.
“Firefighters and other first responders continue to put their health and lives on the line to keep our community safe,; said Buckner. “That is why I wanted to take the time to provide meals to our local firehouses to extend my deep appreciation to them for their incredible, selfless work and to discuss ways we can provide additional support. Now more than ever, it is imperative that we support our firefighters on the front lines of this outbreak.”
Buckner will be delivering lunch to firehouses in the Bronzeville, Woodlawn and Streeterville communities to extend his appreciation to them for all their incredible work during the COVID-19 outbreak. Buckner will be visiting Engines 45, 63 and 98 in the community on Thursday, March 26 to deliver catered lunches to recognize their selfless service to the communities they serve and to discuss additional avenues for providing ongoing support during this health crisis.
“As we continue to weather through this crisis, we must all work together and support our firefighters and other first responders,” Buckner said. “I look forward to meeting with our local firehouses to discuss ways we can provide additional support during this outbreak.”
